Remembering 2015, Looking Ahead to 2016

Memories & Predictions

As January comes to a close, we’re reflecting on our memories of 2015 and looking ahead to a bright future in 2016. We took a moment to share some of our favorite CTC moments of the past year as well as make some predictions for what’s to come!

Matt McBride, CFE

Our golf tournament for 2015 took place at the brand new TopGolf facility in Leawood. We hosted 204 golfers for the 10th anniversary of this event. We raised over $12,000 for Children’s Mercy Hospitals and the event was met with rave reviews. Overall, our closings increased 15% from 2014 to 2015; from 17,641 to 20,237! We also underwent major changes in management in St Louis and a companywide replacement of our main production and escrow software system.

We have gotten the year off to a great start, with strong order counts in all markets and better than anticipated closing counts. Realtors and mortgage loan officers are all anticipating a great year, which should mean a corresponding great year for CTC. We are aiming for an overall 20% increase in gross revenues for 2016 – a goal that I’m certain we will reach!

Diana Matienzo, Escrow Officer

My favorite memory of last year was everything being Royal. We had a ‘Royal Year’ in the Northland thanks to our ‘loyal’ customers who supported us throughout the year, just as Kansas City supported our boys in blue. We also had an amazing turnout at Prime Time at the K, which we are a sponsor of, and enjoyed attending Ladies Night Out at the K with some amazing customers. It truly was a year to remember!

Lindsey Nigh, Sales and Marketing Representative

My highlight of 2015 was volunteering with Harvester’s Community Food Network all year. Each month, a group of CTC employees took a day to visit the local food bank and assist in sorting donated food. We so appreciate everything Harvester’s does for Kansas City, and I feel lucky we were able to contribute our time to such an important cause – feeding hungry people and working to end hunger altogether.

In 2016, I predict more and more families will move to Kansas City as it gains recognition as an up-and-coming city. The amazing food, music, entertainment, and of course, sports will attract tourists as well as people looking to relocate.

Beverly McMillian, Commercial Manager

I joined forces with Continental Title on March 23rd, 2015. I am most impressed with the company’s philosophy that we work in a ‘customer service’ industry.   To the very best of our abilities, commitments are kept and services are delivered. Service and commitment always brings success, so I am looking forward to the new year.  I am very happy to be a part of the CTC team!
