Continental Title Holding Co. Acquires Assured Title Company of Warrenton

ST. LOUIS – Continental Title Holding Co., Inc., an independent title insurance agency with headquarters in St. Louis, and offices throughout the states of Kansas and Missouri, has announced the acquisition of Assured Title Company of Warrenton, LLC. The combined entities anticipate annual revenue for 2013 to be $26 million.

As part of the acquisition, Brian Scheidegger will join the ownership group of Continental Title of Missouri LLC. He will serve as Vice President of Business Development.
Scheidegger stated, “We feel that by combining two of St. Louis’ most recognized and respected title companies, we are able to offer our clients the first class service they deserve from our exceptional staffs.”  Scheidegger said his company considered other potential buyers but “Continental was definitely the right fit for our employees and our customers.”

Assured Title Company boasts more than 100 years of combined title experience. The company was founded in 2004 and began with a small office in Warrenton.  In 2009, Assured Title acquired four additional offices in the St. Louis region as well as an office in Columbia.

Continental Title Company was founded in 2001, starting with one office in Clayton and one office in Kansas City, Missouri.  The company continues to be locally owned and operated.  Since its inception, Continental has grown to 28 locations in six different metropolitan markets.

According to Daniel Klauber, Vice President and an owner of Continental Title, “This acquisition will be a great addition to the services already provided by Continental Title Company.  Continental has a great and dedicated staff and the expanded company will only deepen and broaden the employee base in production, escrow and marketing.”

Assured Title Company’s offices will continue to operate and its current employees have been asked to join Continental Title. Klauber will continue to work in the company’s headquarters in St. Louis.  With the acquisition, Continental Title will now have a total of 13 offices throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.  In addition to operating in St. Louis and in St. Louis County, the acquisition will provide Continental Title Company’s customers with additional offices and additional support in St. Charles County and Warrenton County.

The acquisition of Assured Title Company will allow Continental a greater footprint in the metropolitan St. Louis market. “The combined companies will enhance our ability to provide exceptional title and escrow services in the entire metropolitan area and indeed throughout the entire state of Missouri,” Klauber said.  “By combining forces, Continental Title, with support from Assured Title Company’s staff, and Brian (Scheidegger), will be able to provide enhanced title and escrow services in every area in which we operate.
