Volunteer Spirit Shines on B.L.U.E. Day 2024

Continental Title Company’s B.L.U.E. Day 2024 (Benefiting Locals, Uniting Employees) was an incredible journey of community spirit and kindness. On Oct. 14, we closed our offices to fully dedicate the day to spreading joy and making a positive impact in our local areas. Our teams came together with enthusiasm, diving into activities that truly made a difference.

Here’s a quick rundown of our impact this year:

  • Always & Furever, Spring Hill, KS: Our crew shared cuddles and care with some adorable canines at this safe haven for old, sick, abused and abandoned dogs.
  • Cornerstone Church, Blue Springs, MO: Our team here rolled up their sleeves to organize and clean, transforming the space into a warm and inviting sanctuary for everyone.
  • Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, Overland Park, KS: We helped around the farm, tended to goats and the pumpkin patch and set up games before interacting with 700+ visitors to Pumpkin Hollow.
  • Kansas City Pig Rescue, Kansas City, MO: This crew soaked up the joy of some heartwarming piggy socialization. This organization is about ensuring the pigs have a safe, clean and loving environment, and we had so much fun.
  • Northland Infant Clothing Center, Kansas City, MO: Sorting through donations, we helped make sure families in need have access to essential baby and toddler clothes and supplies.
  • Pet Resource Center, Independence, MO: Here, our team organized donations and assisted with pet care, contributing to the well-being of many furry friends.
  • Rose Brooks Women’s Shelter, Kansas City, MO: Our team brought smiles by preparing and serving lunch and sharing meaningful moments with the women and children.
  • TurnStyles Thrift, Overland Park, KS: This group dove into donation management, helping prepare for future community sales to benefit local causes.
  • Veterans Community Project, St. Louis, MO: We lent a hand in organizing tools that help build micro-homes, giving back to those who served our country.
  • Monarch Family Resource Center, Farmington, MO: Organizing resources was the name of the game, creating a nurturing environment for young families who rely on this group’s services.
  • Mission Thrift Store, Kansas City, MO: We sorted and organized donations so community members can find affordable, quality goods at discounted prices.
  • H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, High Ridge, MO: Our mission here was to pack care boxes for military families, sending our gratitude and support their way.

And how could we forget our park cleanup crews? Armed with gloves and trash bags, they hit local parks to clear litter and restore natural beauty.

B.L.U.E. Day isn’t just a day for us to do good in our communities each year —it’s a reflection of what we stand for every day: community, connection and kindness. CTC is all about creating a brighter, more united world, one small act of kindness at a time.
