#CTCCares Spotlight: Veterans Community Project

When you work with Continental Title Company you don’t just get a title company — you get a company that cares for their community. It is one of our core values to support local organizations in the cities that we serve through the #CTCCares Program. This isn’t just at a company level — each of our employees are a part of this process.

“The goal is to raise funds for local charitable organizations that our staff picked – the organizations are important to us personally. The buyers get to choose from a list of five organizations and we make the donation.” – Matt McBride, President of Continental Title Company

This year (through Q3) we’ve been able to raise just over $40,000 through our #CTCCares giving campaign. $5,335 of the total has been designated to the Veterans Community Project.

Veterans Community Project Fundraiser

On Wednesday, November 3rd, we are hosting a charity bowling event to raise even more money for the Veterans Community Project (VCP). VCP is an amazing organization based in Kansas City that provides resources and housing for homeless Veterans. They are dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath for our country, and are committed to making a difference in the lives of homeless Veterans.

About Veterans Community Project

VCP works to resolve these issues through two ways: The Veteran Outreach Center and the VCP Village.

The Veteran Outreach Center

The Veteran Outreach Center is a walk-in center that serves as a one-stop-shop for any Veteran facing any type of problem. Regardless of time in service, discharge status, or any other traditional qualifier, the VCP assists Veterans through navigating the VA and their benefits, identification services, mental and physical health referrals, financial counseling, and employment support, among other services.

The VCP Village

The VCP Village is a specialized community of tiny homes combined with wrap-around, onsite services to get homeless Veterans off the street and transition them to permanent housing. Additionally, Veteran services are facilitated through an onsite community center that provides the Veterans with mentoring, case management, counseling, as well as connecting to other programs and services.
