Imagine a sea of Continental Title Company employees armed with paintbrushes, gardening tools and boundless goodwill. Look no further than our recent B.L.U.E. Day (Benefiting Locals, Uniting Employees), held annually on the second Monday of October. It was a day brimming with heartwarming gestures and unbridled enthusiasm.

CTC staff members stepped out of the office to embark on adventures of giving back, spreading joy and showing love to some of our cherished communities. It’s all about rolling up our sleeves and being a part of something greater than ourselves. With smiles, buckets of paint and a strong sense of unity, we set out to make a positive impact.

Our teams, about ten employees each, partnered with nonprofits to dedicate their time and energy. Here’s a glimpse of the heartwarming activities we were part of:

  • At Missouri Veterans Endeavor, we spruced up veterans’ yards with landscape makeovers, honoring their service.
  • Lee’s Summit Animal Shelter saw CTC employees cleaning kennels, walking dogs and sharing precious moments with their furry shelter friends.
  • The unique experience at KC Pig Rescue included cleaning, painting and ensuring safe living conditions. This CTC crew also provided love and comfort to rescued pigs.
  • At Pet Resource Center of KC, we organized pallets of canned dog food for the donation pantry and assembled after-surgery cones for 70+ daily spay/neuter procedures.
  • Cooking and serving lunch, engaging in games and spending quality time with the women and children at Rose Brooks Women’s Shelter brightened their day.
  • Cornerstone Church got help organizing toys and craft supplies in the kids’ room and cleaning the toddler and infant rooms, ensuring safe and fun environments for little ones.
  • In a heartfelt visit to Open Door Animal Sanctuary in House Springs, our team donated supplies and comforted and cared for older animals who often aren’t adopted.
  • Hope Memorial Garden, dedicated to families who have experienced the loss of a child, was given a garden makeover with landscaping support by CTC volunteers.
  • At Home Sweet Home, we arranged furniture, unloaded trucks and ensured cleanliness of donated items for homeless individuals transitioning into permanent housing.

B.L.U.E. Day is more than a single day of service; it’s a celebration of togetherness and shared values. It’s our way of showing that great things happen when we unite.
