It’s one of the most rewarding days on our Continental Title Company calendar! On Monday, Oct. 13, we closed all our offices for our annual B.L.U.E. Day, a day for our teams to ditch their desks for hands-on volunteering. For those who haven’t heard, B.L.U.E. stands for Benefiting Locals, Uniting Employees, and it’s truly at the heart of our culture.
This year felt extra special because we made a point of putting more of our team members together at fewer locations. That meant bigger teams, more hands to help and a chance to really connect with each other outside of our daily routines. The energy was incredible!
We jumped in with both feet, and the day was full of great moments. From sorting donated goods to sharing much-needed pig cuddles, our crew jumped in everywhere. Here’s a look at the positive impact we made across our communities.
Furry Friends and Happy Hogs
Our team’s love for animals was on full display this year! We had multiple teams dedicating their day to shelters and pouring energy into organizations that care for creatures big and small:
- Always and Furever: Providing essential care and much-needed belly rubs to sweet pups.
- KC Pig Rescue: Cleaning, organizing and socializing with lovable rescue pigs.
- Open Door Animal Sanctuary: Comforting and caring for older animals in their golden years.
Lending a Hand to Neighbors in Need
It felt great to partner with organizations that provide essential support right here in our communities. We tackled tasks that make a real difference for folks who need it most:
- Ste. Genevieve Nutrition Center: Ensuring local seniors receive nutritious meals and a dose of cheerful conversation.
- Catholic Charities: Assisting with the organization of supplies and providing office support to keep their emergency aid programs running smoothly.
- Starfish: Pitching in with behind-the-scenes support to keep their emotional healing mission moving forward.
Community Clean-Up and Connection
Sometimes the biggest difference is made with a broom, a shovel or just a little elbow grease!
- Mission Thrift Store: Sorting through donated goods to stock the store and support local ministries.
- Shoal Creek Conservancy: Protecting and restoring local waterways and natural areas.
- Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead: Assisting with farm chores and prepping exhibits for an educational day of fun.
Seeing our teams in action made one thing perfectly clear: B.L.U.E. Day 2025 was a huge success. It showcased the commitment of the CTC team and the values we hold dear: community, connection and kindness.
